Grapefruit was originally created in 1998 as a regular strain from a special C99 clone crossed with a Thai Sativa and an autoflowering strain to improve flowering time. So, this strain has been around for almost 20 years! Grapefruit was improved over the years and the feminized version was launched in 2003 at the beginning of Female Seeds. The Grapefruit batch currently for sale comes from an incredible line that Ferry created in 2007. The parents of this line were selected based on two criteria: the incredibly strong grapefruit/pineapple aroma and the moderate height of the phenotypes. It is an extremely fast-flowering cannabis strain. Grapefruit, from the beginning, was always an incredible producer of deliciously smelling buds. The current Grapefruit has been stabilized over several generations. Be careful because once these babies fill out, the buds can be susceptible to mold. Grapefruit is a highly praised and much sought-after strain due to its incredible smell and taste. The excellent sweet and sour pineapple and grapefruit flavor is truly delicious.
