This system works by using air to draw the nutrient solution from the reservoir and letting it drain through the clay pebble substrate over the roots. This simple and reliable design is incredibly effective at supplying plants with a well-oxygenated nutrient solution – exactly what is needed for optimal growth and flowering – and the 2-part design allows easy access to the reservoir and roots, which is difficult or impossible in many other systems.
