Critical Sour can be considered part of the next generation of Female Seeds hybrids. Our goal was to create a very early maturing outdoor strain. Depending on your region, it can finish in early September. It is a big producer covered in trichomes. A Maroc x Grapefruit mother was crossed with an Auto NL x Auto NL x Auto Critical father to speed up flowering. This strain develops and shows specific characteristics clearly inherited from the mother and the Auto Critical genes. It is easy to grow as it is a very resistant plant. It stays shorter than any of our other outdoor strains. One out of thirty plants may autoflower. Critical Sour is an Indica-dominant strain: compact, with a robust and flexible stem, and wide internodes ready to stretch when thrown into flowering. The average flower-to-leaf ratio is impressive, with many more flowers than leaves. The open floral structure allows good air circulation and helps prevent mold in the final stages. It has a very pleasant aroma; fruity, earthy, and spicy. Critical Sour is not too stinky, making it perfect for stealth growing. The smooth and delicate flavor on the inhale reminds you of the fabulous pineapple phenotype of Grapefruit. In addition, it carries a spicy/earthy touch due to the Maroc and Auto NL genes, both of which help develop this very interesting aromatic palette. The effect can be described as an almost instant body high. It combines the strength and couch-lock effect of both NL and Critical, with the tender and subtle contribution of Maroc and Grapefruit. The high is therefore a sudden, joyful, and uplifting high that envelops the entire body in a pleasant sensation. It also provides good medicinal characteristics as Auto NL is a natural painkiller known to help against stress, anxiety, nausea, and arthritis.
