Big Bud has long been famous as a high-yielding Indica reference, and Big Bud Automatic is the latest improved version of our heaviest strain. These feminized seeds produce vigorous, easy-to-grow plants that flower automatically and develop large, solid, very potent buds. Big Bud Automatic is our highest yielding autoflowering strain!
The original Big Bud clone that traveled from the United States to Holland in the 1980s was a vigorous Afghan-Skunk hybrid that produced large, heavy flower clusters. The project to turn that unique female plant into a stable cannabis seed strain began with pollinating the Big Bud clone with cannabis varieties very similar to its parents. This produced two of the first hybrids, Big Bud x Skunk #1 and Big Bud x Northern Lights #1, which have achieved great popularity. Eventually, an example of the clone's original Afghan parent was obtained – a bulky hash plant cultivar, which made it possible to backcross and stabilize the strain. The result was a vigorous, predominantly Indica cannabis seed strain that could equal, and even surpass, the yields of the original clone, as well as significantly increasing its potency and flavor. Our Big Bud seed strain was launched in the early nineties, quickly received several awards, and has been one of our most popular strains ever since.
Recently, Sensi Seeds has created a high-yielding feminized version of this venerable strain, improved and perfected, in our latest release: Big Bud Automatic! This feminized, autoflowering cannabis seed strain retains the flavor, potency, and density of Big Bud, while also having a more compact structure and faster flowering time.
